For food businesses
Pickups you can plan around
When you have good food that's excess, or that you can't sell or use, we connect it with an all-volunteer network that delivers it directly to an agency serving our neighbors — the same day. There's no warehouse stop and no waiting.

Why donors count on the network
- Reliable. In three years and 4,409 rescues, the network has never missed a pickup.
- Every day. About 40 regularly scheduled rescues a week, seven days a week, holidays included.
- Fast and fresh. Food goes from your door to an agency in 20 to 30 minutes.
- Lower costs. Less food in your dumpster means lower disposal costs.
- Easier on your staff. Nobody has to throw away food that is still good.
What You Can Donate
Donations can include fresh produce, dairy, bread and baked goods, prepared foods and other safe, wholesome surplus food. FRoM will connect you with local rescue partners to discuss what you have and help arrange free pickup and delivery that fits your schedule.
The federal Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Food Donation Act provides liability protections for qualifying food donations made in good faith. Learn more about donor protections.
Dozens of regular donors—from grocery stores to farms—already support local food rescue. We'd be glad to help you get started.

Connect with a rescue partner
We'll connect you with a local food rescue partner who will work with you to arrange pickup days and times that fit your routine.
Local volunteers pick up and deliver
Volunteer rescuers collect your donation and deliver it directly to a food pantry, community kitchen or other receiving organization. Pickup and delivery are free.
Neighbors receive nourishing food
Fresh produce, dairy and proteins are among the foods pantries and community kitchens value most, yet often find costly and difficult to obtain. Their short shelf lives make timely rescue especially important. Your donation helps more neighbors enjoy fresh, nutritious food.
Farms, Markets, Orchards and Food Producers
Have a surplus harvest, food left at market's end or extra food from production? FRoM will help arrange free pickup and delivery through local rescue partners. Our network brings experience in farmers market food rescue and gleaning at local farms. Let's explore seasonal donations, occasional surplus and arrangements convenient for how you work.

Food Rescue That Fits Your School's Schedule
Several area schools already participate in local food rescue. FRoM helps schools connect with rescue partners to share surplus food before holidays, summer break or whenever it becomes available. Pickup and delivery are free, with timing coordinated around the school's convenience.
Start a conversation →Grocery Stores and Other Food Retailers
Grocery stores, markets and other businesses that sell food are among the network's most regular donors. Volunteers pick up produce, dairy, bakery items and prepared foods on a set schedule, often several times a week. Good food that can no longer be sold reaches a local agency the same day instead of going into the dumpster.

Restaurants and Caterers
Restaurants and caterers already donate through the network. When an event ends or a menu changes, volunteers can collect surplus food that has been safely held and deliver it to a community kitchen or shelter the same day. Pickups can be scheduled ahead or arranged whenever surplus comes up.
